In addition to the jewelry and gems exhibition, there are also many big events, especially the Miss Crown pageant, which will be presided over by Lok Chumteav Pich Chanmony Hun Manet and  Ministers from various relevant ministries as well.

“This exhibition is a development and showcasing the quality of Cambodian jewelry, especially we want jewelry sellers to join together and give customers a better understanding of the potential and processing of jewelry in Cambodia,” he said.

At the same time, Lok Chumteav Tan Tevy Kanika, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, praised the Jewelry Traders Association for organizing past exhibitions to contribute to Cambodia’s economic growth and competitiveness.

“The efforts of the Association of Precious Jewels and Gems have reduced the import of this product, but in contrast Cambodia’s exports have increased by more than 200 percent in the international market,” she said.

Her Excellency Lang Sannara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, said that the association’s growth was long-lasting and that it had organized exhibitions many times already because Cambodia was peaceful and politically stable due to its clear leadership policy led by  the head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia.

” All these achievements have come from the peace that Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the former Prime Minister of Cambodia, is the founder of peace and has sacrificed his energy and life to exchange for peace,” she said.

Meanwhile, Lok Chumteav Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, urged the media to widely publicize this event in order to attract more business people to know and participate in this event.

She added that Cambodia has signed trade agreements with many countries, which gives us a wider market, and the Jewelry Traders Association should study this opportunity to expand exports.

Her Excellency Ing Kantha Phavi continued, “Cambodia’s jewelry sector has the potential to grow in order to stimulate national economic growth and improve people’s livelihoods.”

In 2023, Cambodia exported more than 800 million US dollars worth of jewelry and gems to overseas markets.
