Phnom Penh, Development Association Commits to Working with the Ministry of Tourism to Promote Cambodia’s Tourism Potential and Investment Opportunities to Its Members Both Domestically and in China.
H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, received Mr. Yong Li Chai, investor and representative of the Cambodia-China Cultural Tourism Bridge Development Association, along with his delegation, for a courtesy meeting on reporting past activities and discussing the association’s contributions to promoting tourism, cultural, and investment cooperation between Cambodia and China at the Ministry of Tourism’s Headquarters.
During the meeting, Mr. Yong Li Chai, representing the Cambodia-China Cultural Tourism Bridge Development Association, presented new initiatives related to tourism products and sought further high-level guidance and recommendations from the Minister to enhance the association’s role in promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and investment opportunities in China in a more active and fruitful manner.
The association also pledged to cooperate closely with the Ministry in promoting Cambodia and attracting major Chinese investors to the Kingdom.
In response, H.E. the Minister highly praised and expressed appreciation for the association’s achievements and initiatives, as well as the efforts of its member companies, major enterprises from China, that have contributed to promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and investment opportunities. He encouraged the association to further expand and intensify its promotional activities, particularly regarding Cambodia’s pilot 14-day visa exemption policy for Chinese citizens from June 15 to October 15, aimed at boosting the number of Chinese tourists visiting Cambodia, as well as encouraging Chinese investors to explore investment opportunities in the country.
